    ⭐ Tips

The following may contain affiliate links. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

✔️ Clean your produce when you get home from the store. Prep ingredients like diced onions, broccoli florets, and chopped carrots ahead of time so you just need to grab a container when it's time to cook. It's almost as good as having a sous chef!

✔️ Keep your prepped foods fresh by using quality airtight containers - these are my favorite. Plus these are great for leftovers, too.

✔️ Before you shop, check your grocery store's website. You may find coupons or specials to help save you money. Chicken thighs on sale? Substitute them for chicken breasts. A little planning can go a long way toward saving you money, and that adds up at the end of the month!

    Got a tip for me?

Please comment below, I'd love to hear it!

October 14 - Potato Sausage Casserole

My regular readers know how much I love my mom's recipe for potato sausage casserole.

It's so cozy and comforting - and filling! This casserole is just perfect for Sunday supper.

Serve with these buttery dinner rolls or a size of cowboy green beans.

October 15 - Slow Cooker Wedding Soup

You can use our authentic Italian meatballs, low carb chicken meatballs, Italian chicken meatballs, or grab your favorite frozen meatballs at the grocery store.

Looking for something a little different? Try this slow cooker potato soup instead.

    October 16 - Buffalo Chicken

A large white bowl of buffalo chicken salad including crumbled blue cheese, shredded carrots, thinly sliced red onions, chopped tomatoes drizzled with ranch dressing sits on a white table near a wedge of lime and a green and white kitchen towel.

Make your own shredded slow cooker buffalo chicken and enjoy it in a wrap or sandwich, or try a buffalo chicken salad with onions, peppers, and blue cheese.

Save some of the leftovers for tomorrow and then use the rest to make buffalo chicken pasta salad, buffalo chicken dip, or this fun buffalo chicken crescent ring for game night.

And, if you love all things buffalo, try our slow cooker buffalo chicken mac and cheese.

Using your leftover slow cooker buffalo chicken makes this buffalo chicken puff pastry recipe a cinch!

You can even prepare these the night before. Just cover them with plastic wrap and store in the fridge.

Serve with a light green salad, or fresh carrot and celery sticks.

If you're a fan of this meal, try our pizza puff pastry pockets and creamy chicken puff pastry pockets, too!

My favorite part of this cheesy casserole is the toppings - you can add sour cream, salsa, guac, avocado slices, cojita cheese crumbles, pickled red onion.... the options are nearly limitless!

If you like our Rotel chicken spaghetti, creamy chicken pasta bake, or million dollar chicken casserole, you'll love this easy recipe.

If you want to add more veggie goodness to the dish, try adding in some cauliflower florets or chopped bell peppers, both of which go great with broccoli.

This apple carrot bread recipe is trending right now - and for good reason - it's irresistible! You can serve it with or without the glaze... not going to lie, I once put homemade whipped cream on this instead of the glaze - so good!
