Your family is going to adore this mouthwatering meal, and since it only takes 20-minutes to make, so will you!

This recipe is very similar to my garlic butter herb steak bites except that it's a whole hearty meal with crispy potatoes all made in one cast iron skillet. It also has some different seasonings as well.

    Ingredients

This is meant to be a brief overview of the Steak Bites and Potatoes recipe. Please scroll down to the teal box below for step-by-step instructions and a full printable recipe card with ingredients.

    • Olive Oil: I like regular olive oil versus extra virgin olive oil because of the mild flavor.
    • Butter: Regular salted butter works fine, but for more flavor, use a compound butter. See our notes about flavored butter below.
    • Potatoes: Yukon gold potatoes are my first choice for this recipe, however, you could also use red bliss, sweet potatoes, or baby potatoes.
    • Sirloin Steak: I recommend using sirloin steak but into bite-size cubes. You could also use ribeye or tenderloin. Look for beef with some marbling for the best flavor.
    • Worcestershire Sauce: Adds umami to the dish and brings out the richness of the beef. Substitute soy sauce for Worcestershire if you prefer.
    • Seasoning: Store-bought or Homemade Italian Seasoning, black pepper, and kosher salt add flavor and balance out the dish.
    • Parsley: Adding fresh chopped parsley gives the dish a bit of freshness. If you prefer, use other fresh herbs like chives or basil.

I highly suggest cooking this steak bites recipe with some sort of garlic herb butter or Benihana butter. It adds TONS of flavor! However, you can use regular butter while cooking and serve this dish with your favorite compound butter or garlic butter sauce if you like.

    Storage

To Store: Store leftover steak bites and potatoes in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

To Reheat: Microwave individual servings of leftovers in 30-second increments until warmed throughout.
