Getting kids to eat their veggies isn't always the easiest task, but with these kid friendly sweet potato recipes, they won't bat an eye!

Delicious sweet potatoes are root vegetables full of nutrition. One cup of sweet potato cubes has 4 grams of fiber, plus potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin B6.

Since sweet potatoes are, well, sweet, it's a great way to get kids to eat healthy.

    Kid Friendly Sweet Potato Recipes

Here are some of our favorite recipes using sweet potatoes that kids love!

    1. Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Bread

If your kids like pumpkin bread, chances are pretty good that they'll like sweet potato bread, too! It's great for breakfast with a little bit of brown sugar butter, but also tasty as a snack.

This sweet potato quiche recipe is great for families that are limiting their gluten intake. The crust for this quiche is made of sweet potatoes! I really love the tangy salty feta cheese with the sweetness of the sweet potato crust.

This sweet potato side dish is literally slow simmered with brown sugar until they taste like candy! Stove top candied sweet potatoes can be served so much more than just a holiday meal once or twice a year. Chances are your kids are going to fall in love with these after just one bite!

    4. Make Ahead Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar

Mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar is my go-to sweet potato side dish. They're just so good!

This happens to be one of our all-time most popular recipes because it's just a great side dish to serve any time. It works for holidays or special occasions but is simple enough for weeknight meals.

This sweet potato soup is one of my personal favorite recipes - creamy sweet potato soup with a little sour cream and crispy bacon on top! Kids will really love this soup topped with cheesy tater tots, too.

    7. Make Ahead Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows

No list of kid friendly sweet potato recipes would be complete without sweet potato casserole! While this is often reserved for holiday meals like Thanksgiving for Christmas, you can whip it up anytime with our easy make-ahead recipe. It's perfect for picky eaters!

    8. Homemade Sweet Potato Pie

Slice of sweet potato pie with a dollop of whippe cream on top.

While apple pie and pumpkin pie take all the glory, sweet potato pie has all the same warm Fall spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice plus a creamy texture, too. This is another favorite sweet potato recipe my kids love.

    9. Crispy Roasted Sweet Potatoes
