    Ranch Chicken Tacos Crockpot Recipe - tender chicken tacos seasoned with ranch are a simple weeknight meal the whole family will love. This is so easy it's barely even a recipe!

    I love making using shredded chicken for regular nachos or waffle fry nachos, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chicken taco casserole, quesadillas, and other TexMex dishes! With our Slow Cooker Chicken Recipe, you'll be able to make so many recipes in a fraction of the time! (Slow cooking might be slow but it saves me tons of time when I meal prep!)

    • Slow Cooker Chicken
    • Seasonings: store-bought or homemade taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, chili powder
    • Toppings: shredded cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, etc.
    • Flour or corn tortillas

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Make the Slow Cooker Chicken.
    2. Use a fork to shred the chicken.
    3. Warm the tortillas.
    4. Assemble the tacos with your favorite toppings.

    🍲 Storage

    To Store: Leftover chicken should be stored in the fridge. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

    To Reheat: Microwave individual portions if chicken in 30 second intervals until heated throughout then assemble your tacos.

    📖 Variations

    The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the delicious recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our slow cooker chicken ranch tacos recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

    Substitute the chili powder for hot sauce, smoked paprika, or cayenne pepper.

    You can use this same recipe to make pork tacos also.

    Crunchy taco shells or soft corn tortillas also work great in this recipe.

    🍴 Serving Suggestions

    Serve your tacos with all your favorite toppings. In my house, it varies but we usually include some sort of store-bought or homemade salsa or pico de gallo. I also love to put out avocado or guacamole.

    For this meal, I also have ranch dressing on hand which perfectly compliments the flavor of the ranch seasoning mix.

      Ingredients

      • shredded chicken
      • 12 soft flour tortillas
      • Toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, taco sauce, etc.

      To Make the Crockpot Shredded Chicken

      • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken thighs
      • 1 cup chicken broth or chicken stock
      • 6 teaspoons taco seasoning or a 1 ounce packet
      • 6 teaspoons ranch seasoning or a 1 ounce packet
      • 1 teaspoon chili powder optional

      Instructions

      Shredded Chicken

      • Place 1lb of chicken into a crockpot with chicken stock and seasonings. Cook for 4 hours on LOW. Shred.
        1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken thighs, 1 cup chicken broth or chicken stock, 6 teaspoons taco seasoning, 6 teaspoons ranch seasoning, 1 teaspoon chili powder

      Tacos

      • In a large skillet over medium lightly warm the flour tortillas in each side for 1-2 minutes. (No oil needed)
        12 soft flour tortillas
      • Assemble the tacos with desired toppings.
        shredded chicken, Toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, taco sauce, etc.

      • Skillet for warming the tortillas
