    📖 Variations

The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the Italian Green Bean Salad recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

    • Add thinly sliced red onion or cherry tomatoes for more color and flavor.
    • I love fresh basil in this delicious side dish but you could use other fresh herbs like oregano or thyme.
    • Sprinkle in parmesan cheese or feta cheese just before serving.
    • Substitute toasted pine nuts for the almonds, or omit the nuts altogether.
    • Drizzle a little bit of balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar on top for some extra tartness.
    • For even more flavor, use our Italian seasoning which includes dried herbs in addition to garlic powder and onion powder. (It would also be delicious with our Mediterranean seasoning.)
