Grilled Pineapple Fruit Salad starts with grilled pineapple, of course! I adore grilled pineapple, it's so delicious. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out! The honey and lemon help the pineapple caramelize as it cooks on the grill.

You can add any fresh fruit you have on hand, but I love the combination of strawberries with pineapple. I think that the toasted coconut puts this right over the top.

    💭 Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions (and answers!) people often ask about grilled pineapple salad:

When are Pineapples and Strawberries in Season?

Of course, the most delicious strawberries are the ones freshly picked. Pineapples are native to South America. In fact, Costa Rica and Brazil produce the most pineapples. Pineapple's peak season runs from March to July, so they are definitely a summertime fruit.
Strawberries are grown all over the United States. You might even have some neighbors with a strawberry patch! Strawberries are typically most in season from April to June.

Can You Grill Pineapple on Kababs?

Yes, you definitely can make the grilled pineapple recipe on kababs. The only difference will be that when you grill the slices of pineapple directly on the grill, you can serve them on a plate (like I did). With kababs, you have the extra step of taking them off the skewer, and the pineapple is served in chunks instead of slices.

What Food Goes With Grilled Pineapple?

The grilled pineapple with honey is so incredibly sweet, that you won't need any other desserts. Pick a dish that is more savory and salty for the main course. I suggest grilled brats or pork chops with corn on the cob.

Can You Make Grilled Pineapple Inside - Not on the Grill?

If it is raining or you just can't get your grill to work, there is hope! Yes, you can make these grilled pineapples on the stove or indoor griddle. The grill gives it a unique smoky flavor and crispy texture that you can't replicate any other way. But you can still have an otherwise delicious dessert.
To make the grilled pineapple recipe inside, you just need to prepare it as I mentioned before but cook it over medium heat in a large skillet. It cooks very quickly, so keep an eye on it and flip it over before it burns.

    🧂 Ingredients

Before you make this easy grilled pineapple recipe, pick up the following items from the store.

    • 1 Pineapple
    • 1 Pint Strawberries
    • Lemon Juice
    • Honey
    • Shredded Coconut

    Instructions

    1. Heat a large skillet over low heat. Add coconut and cook, stirring frequently, until it begins to brown.
    2. Remove from heat and let cool.
    3. Heat grill over medium heat.
    4. In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice and honey. Brush onto fruit. Grill fruit until heated and slightly charred.
    5. Combine and top with toasted coconut.

    Notes

**For strawberries, I either put them on skewers to grill or I use a little grill basket. I slice them after they are grilled.

I love grilled pineapple. There's just something about grilling it that brings out all the wonderful flavour in it! The challenge now is how not to eat the grilled pineapple so it can be made into this amazing salad lol!
