Creamy chocolate hazelnut spread wrapped in light and flakey puff pastry is simple and easy to make, and oh-so-very delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry sheets 10 by 10 inch
  • 15 tablespoons Nutella
  • 1 egg optional
  • 1 teaspoon water for the egg wash optional
  • powdered sugar optional

Instructions

  • Unroll the first piece of puff pastry dough and gently spread the Nutella evnely on top.

  • Cover with a second piece of dough.
  • Cut in half lengthwise, then cut into 1-inch slices.
  • Twist each slice and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Optional: Beat together the egg and water. Brush onto the twists.
    1 egg, 1 teaspoon water for the egg wash
  • Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
