Preheat the oven to 350-degrees F.
Lightly grease a 9x9 baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream soup with the sugar, salt, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk to combine.

Stir in the sour cream.

Fold the green beans into the creamy mixture.

Add in half of the shredded cheese and half of the fried onions.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Top with the remainging cheese and fried onions.
