In a dutch oven, heat the olive oil.

Sweat the onions until tender and translucent.

Add the garlic and cook 2 minutes more.

Add the ground beef and brown and season with salt and pepper to taste.
1 lb lean ground beef, salt and black pepper
Season with 1 tablespoon of the Italian seasoning.

Stir in the beef stock, tomato sauce, remaining 1 tablespoon of spice mix, and tomato paste.
4 cups beef stock, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
Simmer covered for 10 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.
1 lb bowtie pasta, 1 cup Parmesan cheese, ½ cup heavy cream
Stir to combine.
Garnish with a bit more cheese, if desired, and basil.
