  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 ¼ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Add the flour, salt, and yeast into a large mixing bowl. Whisk the dry ingredients until they are fully combined.
3 cups all purpose flour, 2 teaspoons salt, ½ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • Add lukewarm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
    1 ½ cups water
  • Stir in the cheddar cheese until it is incorporated fully into the dough.
1 ¼ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Lightly spray your dough with cooking spray and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Allow the dough to rest for about 12-18 hours.
  • Place the empty Dutch oven into the oven and preheat the oven to 450F degrees.
  • Meanwhile, flour your work surface and roll out the dough into the flour until it forms a ball. Make sure you are doing this on a smooth surface.
  • When the oven has reached 450F degrees, remove the hot Dutch oven and carefully line it with parchment paper. Place dough ball inside.
  • Cover and allow the bread to bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool for a little bit.
