This easy recipe is perfect for school lunches.

    🍲 Storage

To Store: Leftover turkey pinwheels should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

    ✏️ Make Ahead

These pinwheels are best when eaten within 1-2 days so I do not recommend making them more than 1 day ahead of time.

    📖 Variations

The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

    • Try flavored tortilla wraps like spinach, sun-dried tomato, garlic herb, and even jalapeno for even more flavor. You can use low carb tortilla also.
    • For the holidays, replace half the sour cream with jellied cranberry sauce.
    • If you love spice, replace half the sour cream with red pepper jelly.
    • If you're not a fan of cheddar, you can use a different cheese. Swiss cheese, provolone, and pepper jack cheese are all great options.
    • Substitute honey mustard for the sour cream.
    • These delicious pinwheels can also be made with roast beef or ham.
    • Fresh herbs add great flavor to these turkey roll ups - basil, green onions, tarragon, or chives are all yummy.

    🍴 Serving Suggestions

For additional flavor, consider adding a little bit of your favorite dried herb such as thyme or tarragon. These turkey pinwheels are also delicious with fresh basil. You could also replace the kosher salt with a pinch of basil salt.
