    Instructions

    • Prepare the vanilla cake batter according to the instructions on the package.
1 Vanilla Cake box mix plus the ingredients on the box
    • Divide the cake batter into three bowls. Set one bowl aside.
    • Add 5 drops of red food coloring to one bowl. Mix to combine.

    • Add 5 drops of green food coloring to one bowl. Mix to combine.

    • Prepare three round cake pans and bake as directed, however, since each has less batter, the baking time will not be as long.
    • Allow the cakes to cool completely.
    • Once cooled, crumble each cake in it's own bowl.
    • Mix one tablespoon of vanilla frosting into each bowl of cake. The mixture should be similar to play dough. If it does not stick together, add a little bit more frosting.
      3 tablespoons Vanilla frosting
    • Use a cookie scoop to portion each of the cake balls. You should get about 10-12 balls from each color.
    • Next, cut each cake ball into three equal parts.
    • Take one piece of each color and roll them together to make a round cake ball.
    • Working with one color at a time, melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the instructions on the package.
      1 bag White Candy Melts
    • Dip the tip of the lollipop into the chocolate and gently push the cake ball onto the stick.
    • Dip the cake pop into the melted candy and tap off any excess.
    • Repeat with the green candy melts.
      1 bag Green Candy Melts
    • Repeat with the red candy melts.
      1 bag Red Candy Melts
    • Allow the cake pops to set.

    Decorating

    • For colored sugar and/or sprinkles, wait about 20 seconds after dipping the ball into the melted candy, then add the decorations.
      Colored Sugar and/or Sprinkles
    • Once the candy melts have hardened, affix the candy bows using a little bit of melted candy melts as 'glue.'
