I love this easy pork tenderloin recipe because it's so flavorful and pretty simple to make, too.

The honey garlic sauce is what makes this pork recipe so good. (You can also use this sauce to glaze chicken breasts.) I can't wait for you to try this dish!

    Ingredients

Here's what you'll need to make our honey garlic pork tenderloin recipe:

    • Pork Tenderloin: pork loin is a much thicker cut and will need more time to cook. If you're unsure which is which, just ask the butcher at your grocery store. Note: this recipe, as it is written, will not work with pork loin.
    • Honey: Use good quality honey. I like to use local honey. This adds sweetness and thickens the sauce.
    • Apple Cider Vinegar: Balancing the sauce is important, and this adds acidity and complements the pork.
    • Soy Sauce: For a little umami and salt, soy sauce adds great flavor. You can use regular or low-sodium soy sauce.
    • White Wine: Choose a dry white wine like chardonnay or pinot grigio. The alcohol will cook off, leaving just the wine flavor; however, chicken broth works well as a substitute if you prefer.
    • Garlic: Using finely minced fresh garlic will yield the best flavor.
    • Olive Oil: Any neutral-flavored oil will work. I like using olive oil.
    • Red Pepper Flakes: This adds a tiny hint of heat and keeps the syrupy sauce from being too sweet.

Pork Rub: flour, garlic powder, ground mustard, paprika, kosher salt, black pepper.

This is meant to be a brief overview of this great recipe. For step-by-step instructions and a full printable recipe card with ingredients, please scroll down to the teal box below.

    Ang's Tips

    • Always check the internal temperature of the pork using a meat thermometer. I like this inexpensive instant-read thermometer.

    Storage

To Store: Leftover Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will last 3-4 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

To Reheat: Microwave individual portions in 30-second intervals until heated throughout.

    Variations

The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the delicious recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

If you have pork seasoning rub on hand, you can use that instead of the seasonings listed in the recipe card. It has a little bit more of a smoky flavor.

    Serving Suggestions

Wondering what to serve with pork tenderloin? For this dish, I like serving rice or buttered noodles. It's great with crispy potatoes, too. For veggies, try it with oven roasted broccoli or honey tarragon carrots.
