With this easy recipe, you can transform canned corn into a delicious side dish in just 15 minutes! You can also use fresh corn if you like.

This easy side dish pairs wonderfully with chicken, steak, and pork. I love serving it alongside petite sirloin or pork tenderloin especially.

    🧂 Ingredients

This is meant to be a brief overview of this great recipe. For step-by-step instructions and a full printable recipe card with ingredients, please scroll down to the teal box below.

    • honey - I like to use local honey whenever possible
    • butter - using unsalted butter will allow you to control the amount of salt, but salted butter also works
    • cream cheese - it's best if this is room temperature and cut into pieces
    • salt and black pepper - to taste

Optional ingredients: pinch of red pepper flakes, chopped parsley for garnish.

    ⭐Ang's Recipe Tips

✔️ You can substitute frozen corn, but you may need to cook the honey butter and corn mixture for a few extra minutes to help remove the excess moisture and heat the corn throughout.

✔️ I don't recommend microwaving cream cheese to soften it. Instead, cut it into small pieces before you start cooking and set it on the stove top near your warm burner to help soften more quickly.

    🍲 Storage

To Store: Leftover honey buttered corn in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers for leftovers.)

To Reheat: Microwave individual portions in 30 second intervals until heated throughout.

    Slow Cooker Method

This recipe can be made in a slow cooker, which is really helpful for holidays. Here's how:

    1. Add the butter, honey, corn, and seasonings to the crockpot.
    2. Cover and set on low for 1 hour.
    3. Just before serving, mix in the cream cheese.
    4. Garnish with fresh herbs as desired.
