I love a good spaghetti and meatball dinner as much as the next person, but a little variety is always a good thing!

Spaghetti is different from Greece. Traditionally, it’s not even cooked al dente and is made with meats such as beef, chicken, or seafood! If you’re looking for a new way to try spaghetti in your home, this Greek-inspired recipe will shake things up!

Made in just 15 minutes, this easy Greek spaghetti recipe serves six and will turn any box of spaghetti into a fancy restaurant-worthy meal.

Greek Spaghetti Ingredients in bowls on a countertop.

    🧂 Ingredients

    • cream cheese
    • crushed tomatoes
    • red wine vinegar
    • dried oregano
    • fresh garlic
    • capers - these have the briny flavor of green olives with a little lemony flavor
    • feta cheese
    • spaghetti or any long pasta like fettuccini, linguine, etc.
    • black olives or kalamata olives
    • fresh tomatoes - I like using plum or cherry tomatoes
    • cucumber

This is meant to be a brief overview of this great recipe. For step-by-step instructions and a full printable recipe card with ingredients, please scroll down to the teal box below.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Prep a 9x13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
    3. Place a large pot of water over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
    4. In a large bowl, beat the room-temperature cream cheese, crushed tomatoes, red wine vinegar, seasonings, and garlic until blended.
    5. Next, stir in the capers and 4 ounces of feta cheese. (The heat of the pasta will help the cheese melt creating a creamy sauce.)
    6. Add the cooked pasta and about ½ cup of the black olives into the sauce. Toss together to blend.
    7. Transfer the spaghetti to the prepared casserole dish.
    8. Bake the spaghetti for 20 minutes or until heated through.
    9. Once heated through, remove from oven and top with remaining black olives, remaining feta cheese, tomatoes, and cucumber.

Greek Spaghetti Casserole Recipe in a baking dish.
Topped with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, and feta, this Greek pasta is perfect for busy weeknights.

    🍲 Storage

To Store: Leftovers of this Greek-style spaghetti should placed into an airtight container and stored in the fridge. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

This meal will keep 3-5 days.

To Reheat: Microwave individual portions in 30 second intervals until heated throughout.

    📖 Variations

The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

    • You can also use ground beef or ground chicken to make a meat sauce for this Greek pasta.
    • For a gluten-free version, use gluten free pasta.
    • If you're watching your carbs, you can also make a low-carb casserole by swapping out the pasta for zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash.
    • Use fresh mozzarella cheese in place of the feta.
    • For additional freshness add your favorite fresh herbs. I especially like fresh basil in casserole.
    • You could also add chopped red onion or green bell pepper on top.
    • For even more flavor, add a little bit of spaghetti seasoning or Mediterranean seasoning to the tomato sauce.
