It is no secret we love Summer around here. Being able to cook out on the grill and spend time as a family is one of our favorite ways to pass the time during the warm Summer months.

One of my favorite things (well, besides steak) to cook on the grill has to be fresh Summer corn. Grilled corn on the cob is simple, flavorful, and delicious.

As a matter of fact, I've already shared with you my recipe for Ginger Soy Grilled Corn. It's an Asian-inspired side that I just know will be a big hit at your next barbecue. You'll also love our air fryer corn on the cob recipe.

Today, however, I'm giving you my blueprint for Easy Grilled Corn on the Cob. You'll find that this will be your go to recipe for barbecue corn on the cob and a jumping-off point for experimenting with new flavor combinations. I know you'll love this easy recipe.

FAQ About Barbecue Corn on the Cob

Here are some questions frequently asked about how to grill corn on the cob.

How do I choose the best corn on the cob?

Look for husks that are bright green. When you peel back the husks, the kernels should be evenly spaced and look plump.

Should you soak corn before grilling?

Epicurious has done research on this, and their conclusion is that it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Is corn better grilled or boiled?

Boiled corn may produce a sweeter flavor, but you'll miss out on the delicious smokey notes that the grill provides. It's really up to your preference, but I say give both a try and see which you like better. (My guess is that grilled corn on the cob is going to be a new Summer staple for your family too!)

How long does corn on the cob last?

If the husk is still on, store uncovered in a refrigerator for 1 to 2 days, or if not, refrigerate in tightly wrapped plastic for 1 to 2 days.
Cooked corn on the cob will last in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Keep in wrapped tightly in aluminum foil or in an airtight container.

    Can grilled corn be frozen?

Yes! Cooked corn, whether grilled, boiled, or roasted will last longer in the freezer. Just make sure you keep it sealed in an air-tight container.
