    Classroom Supplies for Teachers

    [published_or_updated] · by Angela Paris · 3 Comments[affiliate_disclosure]

One important way you can support your child's school is by providing extra classroom supplies for teachers. We shop at Walmart for Pilot Pen products and other back to school products to create care packages for our children's teachers.

Pilot Pen Products are an awesome addition to a teacher back to school care package.

Every August, the kids and I create care packages for all their teachers, including the specialists like music, art and even gym! We shop at Walmart together to purchase classroom supplies for teachers.

Teachers work really hard and spend so much of their own money throughout the year.  As the PTA president for the elementary school for two years, I know just how much classroom supplies for teachers are appreciated by the staff members.

We purchased a couple of different Pilot Pen products to go into our care packages including G2 Fine 10pk Black + Bonus FriXion clicker and G2 Fine 10pk Assorted + Bonus FriXion clicker. They were a great deal at Walmart with the G2 10pk + Bonus on Rollback for $9.88 each.

G2 pens come in four point sizes and multiple barrel styles with an extra comfortable grip and smooth gliding ink in 27 bright and vibrant colors. (I really love using these for my planner, too!)

    Teachable Moments

Creating these back to school classroom supply kits are a great way to teach kids about supporting and giving back to their community.

My husband and I are committed to making sure we raise good citizens. This is one way that we are able to demonstrate those values in a very meaningful way.

You can also use this opportunity to practice math skills such as budgeting, rounding, counting change, with your kids.

    Classroom Supplies for Teachers List

Here are some ideas for creating a classroom donation care package:

    • Disinfectant wipes
    • Tissues
    • Pilot Pen products
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Paper clips
    • Staples
    • Glue sticks
    • Erasers

The kids handwrite notes to each teacher and we deliver them during the first week of school together. (As an added touch, make sure you include this fun Teacher Appreciation Subway Art print in a nice frame.)

Olivia loves organizing the supplies for her new classroom teacher each year!

Free Back to School About Me Printable

I think that helping our children's teachers get to know them more quickly really helps both the kids and the teacher. Our son is especially "slow-to-warm-up" so we have found that this back to school "about me" printable helps to foster a connection. (You can also find another Getting to Know Me Printable here.)

Plus, it is a great chance for the kids to practice their best handwriting!

    Tips for Printing

    • Under your printer settings, select the highest print quality
    • Be sure your printer is not running low on ink
    • For durability, I like to print onto cardstock

For older children, Pilot Pen products also make a great addition to your Homework Caddy. We update and restock this a couple times throughout the year as needed. It really comes in handy!

This is a wonderful idea to help out the teachers. I once witnessed a very nice man in Walmart last yr. writing a check to one of his kids teachers just before the new school yr. started & she was so surprised! He told her how much he appreciated her & all she does for the students& that he knew how expensive it was for her& that she did it out of her own pocket & he was glad to help. It really made her day. I was happy to be a witness to that. There are many places that give a discount or an extra percentage off for teachers & students. You may have to sign up for emails or sign up w/ them 1st though. Michael's Crafts & other Art Supply Stores do, but I'm not sure about Joannes- Fabrics, ACMoore or Hobby Lobby , but it never hurts to ask.💗😀
