Growing up, my mother always sang us 'You Are My Sunshine.' I'm sure I'm not alone in that memory, after all, it's such a simple song but with such an amazing message.
Of course, now I sing it to my own children at bedtime. One of my favorite moments as a mom was watching my daughter play with her dolls. She was rocking one to sleep and singing 'You Are My Sunshine.' I'm sure my heart was about to burst in that moment for all the sweetness I was watching.
Last weekend, we had a double baby shower for my two sisters who are due 2 weeks apart! During the party, one of my sisters was showing off her darling nursery just about ready for the arrival of her baby girl. It got me thinking about how I'd decorate if I were having another baby (which I'm not, so don't go there!) This sweet song just lends itself to a cheerful and beautiful printable, don't you think?
