This Strawberry Almond Bark is the perfect homemade sweet treat for parties, teachers or to keep all to yourself!

Strawberry Almond Bark from The Bitter Side of Sweet

Hi all! I am Nancy from The Bitter Side of Sweet! This is my first contributor post here on Juggling Act Mama and I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

So let's talk Valentine's. Are you on Team A (for) or Team B (against)? I am totally on Team A when it comes to Valentine's! I actually get more excited about the types of chocolates and candies that I can make verses what I would receive. We in fact keep it kind of low key at our house but we do something special.

This year because it is on Saturday and we have four kids so we are including them in our festivities! I go all out. Candlelit dinner and all for us 6 and they love it!

Strawberry Almond Bark from The Bitter Side of Sweet

So what does that have to do with this Strawberry Almond Bark? Well this is something my kids love to eat so it is going to go perfect as dessert. This bark is also pretty easy to whip up if you wanted to make teachers gifts or hand out with your kids Valentines.

To make this bark I went super simple. I used almond bark that you can melt right in your microwave in just a matter of minutes. I also stocked up on some red candy melts after Christmas so I melted a few of those and swirled into the bark. The candy melts did not work so well in the microwave for me, so I just melted those over a double boiler.

I decided to add almonds on top because I thought it would add a nice crunch effect to the candy and really help bring out that almond flavor. The strawberry flavor comes from the marshmallows. Totally did a happy dance when I found out you could even buy strawberry marshmallows. The leftover ones taste really good in hot chocolate as well! ENJOY!

    🧂 Ingredients

    • almond bark
    • red candy melts
    • red M&M's
    • almond slivers
    • strawberry mini marshmallows
