📖 Variations
The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the delicious recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our smash burger sauce recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:
- Our recipe uses Montreal steak seasoning as a shortcut but if you don't have it in your pantry, you can use a mixture of garlic powder, black pepper, kosher salt, and onion powder. Use ⅛ teaspoon of each.
- If you prefer the taste of yellow mustard, you can substitute it for the Dijoin.
- For a thinner sauce, add one tablespoon of pickle juice.
- Add a little bit of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce for a little kick.
