If you like Asian flavors, you'll love our Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs! These ribs have BIG flavor with fresh ginger, garlic, and sesame flavors. The peanut dipping sauce is optional but takes it totally over the top.

    Ingredients

Here is what you will need to make our Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs:

    • Baby back ribs
    • Sesame oil
    • Fresh ginger and garlic
    • Sesame sauce
    • Sesame seeds
    • Peanut sauce
    • Liquid smoke (optional)
    • Scallions (garnish)

From the Pantry: soy sauce and garlic.

This recipe takes a couple of shortcuts by using bottled sesame sauce and peanut sauce.  If you have a recipe you love for making your own sauces, go ahead and feel free to use those instead.  Using these sauces from the store will save you about 10 minutes, versus making your own.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between baby back ribs and regular ribs?

Spare ribs are often less expensive than baby back ribs. However, baby back ribs are cut from pork ribs and are usually more tender.

How many ribs do I need?

One rack of ribs is about two pounds. I usually plan on ½ pound per person.

    Serving Suggestions

Our Asian purple cabbage slaw is a great side dish to go with these ribs. You could also add these to a noodle bowl or rice bowl.
