These Halloween Homemade Peanut Butter Cups are so simple to make! They're a wonderful party food and easy to make with the kids this Halloween.

Of course, you can make these any time of year. The recipe is the same, just use whatever decorative sprinkles and paper liners you like to go along with your theme.

These would make lovely gifts for Christmas, or a fun addition to your birthday party dessert table.

    🧂 Ingredients

There are just two ingredients for this recipe.  Yep, you read that right, just two!

    • honey roasted peanut butter
    • semi-sweet chocolate baking bar

OK, three if you count sprinkles... 😋

This is meant to be a brief overview of the recipe. For step-by-step instructions and a full printable recipe card with ingredients, please scroll down to the teal box below or Jump to Recipe.

    🔪Instructions

    1. In a microwave-safe bowl warm the peanut butter for 15 to 20 second utill soft and at a pourable consistency.
    2. Add the chopped-up chocolate in another microwavable bowl and melt it too. Do it in intervals of 20 seconds, so that it doesn’t seize up or burn. Mix well after each burst.
    3. Line a mini muffin pan with paper or silicone liners.
    4. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into each lined muffin cup. Tap the muffin tin lightly to spread the chocolate.
    5. Spoon ½ teaspoon of slightly melted peanut butter over chocolate. Tap the muffin tin lightly again to spread.
    6. Top it off with 2 teaspoons of melted chocolate. Tap lightly to spread everything evenly and to get rid of any air bubbles. Add sprinkles of choice.
    7. Refrigerate the tin for about 30 minutes for the cups to harden.
    8. Peel the paper liner and enjoy!

    ⭐ Tips

    • Since the chocolate doesn’t have any stabilizers added, it melts quickly. Keep under refrigeration at all times.
    • If using chocolate chips instead of bar, add a tablespoon of vegetable or coconut oil, while melting. It prevents seizing.

    Variations

If honey roasted peanut butter is not available, use regular peanut butter. Add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup and warm in the microwave for 30 seconds till soft. Mix well and use it as per the recipe.

You can just as easily make these for other holidays like Christmas or Easter. All you need to do is use festive muffin papers and sprinkles.

    😋 Dessert Recipes

These Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries are another fun Halloween treat. Like these peanut butter cups, the strawberries can be dressed up for any special occasion. For example, try white chocolate and heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day!

These peanut butter cups make a great addition to a Halloween snack board along with fresh fruit, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and Halloween candies.

For another great party recipe, try making these Halloween Cookie Bars topped with buttercream frosting and festive sprinkles.
