    DIY Succulent Projects

    [published_or_updated] · by Angela Paris · Leave a Comment[affiliate_disclosure]

Succulents—and cute DIY succulent projects—are still super trendy and for good reason. Take a look at this list of DIY succulent projects to get inspired for your next crafting session just in time for spring and summer.

A collage of DIY succulent projects outlining the projects you'll find in the text below, a blue napkin with a succulent napkin ring, wine corks made into homes for air plants, a chandelier adorned with them and a centerpiece.

Succulent plants, and air plants, are some of the best house plants you can have. They are easy to take care of, even if you don't consider yourself a green thumb.

I love faux succulents, too! They look just as gorgeous as the real plants, so if you don't want to deal with watering, soil, and drainage at all, you can still look like you have a green thumb even though it's more of a black thumb.

Be sure to click through the links provided to see the complete tutorials for each of the projects below.

Succulent wreath with a black and white polka dot ribbon hanging on a brick wall

My tutorial for this succulent wreath will allow you to create a gorgeous wreath that really makes a statement! You don't even need a green thumb, all of the succulents you see in this gorgeous wreath are faux.

With different colors, the string of pearls succulents and other various succulents, this is a creative way to add to your home decor.

How to Make a Succulent Terrarium.

A Succulent Terrarium is one of my favorite succulent planter ideas because it's super simple to put together, and and easy project to complete. Indoor gardens don't get much easier than this! Plus, succulent terrariums are a great gift idea, too.

My DIY rustic succulent centerpiece is a beautiful and low-maintenance project that you can make in just 30 minutes. This can be done with any wood - a succulent driftwood planter would be gorgeous! It's a unique centerpiece that will give your outdoor living space a touch of elegance in no time.

Succulent Napkin Rings from AttaGirl Says: These rustic napkin rings are made with realistic-looking fake succulents from the craft store. They'd be perfect for a summertime wedding, but they're also great if you like to entertain outdoors in the summer.

a succulent planter with faux succulents built with embroidery hoops and hung like a chandelier

Embroidery Hoop Faux Succulent Planter from Our Crafty Mom: How amazing would these look suspended from your porch or trees in your outdoor seating area? This succulent sphere is one of the most unique ways to showcase different succulent plants that I have ever seen.

With the addition of the battery-operated candle, you can create romantic nighttime lighting outdoors. However, it'll look just as stunning hanging indoors if you want to suspend it from a high ceiling or doorway.

top down view of a mermaid succulent garden with live plants, sea shells and marbles.

Mermaid Succulent Garden from Creative Green Living: This craft is a fun twist on a fairy garden. A succulent garden makes the perfect space for mermaids because you can find different succulents that resemble seaweed, coral, and other ocean plants and animals.

Plus, succulents are easy to care for as long as you have a well-lit area to put them in, so you'll be able to enjoy your mermaid garden for a long time to come!

Gilded Dinosaur Succulent Planters from Pop Shop America: These gilded dino planters are so fun! Cut out some toy dinosaurs, and add liquid gilding to make them shimmer. Then add decorative rocks (for drainage), soil, and your sweet little plants, and you're all set.

You could also opt for air plants if you don't want to fuss with soil, but they'll need lots of watering.

succulent wall planter hanging on a green door

Easy Succulent Wall Planter from Houseful of Handmade: Jump over to check out the step by step tutorial. You can use the printable template and foam board to create your own easy succulent wall planter. It'll be a fun and fresh addition to your front door, and since it uses artificial succulents, there's no care or maintenance required.

wine corks with succulents in them hang on a refridgerator

Wine Cork Succulent Magnets from Crafts by Amanda: Believe it or not, these wine cork succulent magnets are made for real wine corks! They'll be such a fun addition to your fridge magnets, but if you work in an office, you can also add them to your filing cabinets, etc., too—what a terrific way for succulent lovers to use up those wine or champagne corks.

a bowl of faux succulents with a candle in the middle

Dollar Tree Succulent Garden Candle Centerpiece from Simplicity in the South: Succulents from the Dollar Tree can look as beautiful as the ones from other craft stores, and they're so inexpensive that you can buy loads of them.

Succulent centerpieces are beautiful for an outdoor party or outdoor wedding this summer.

picture frame faux succulent planter on a shelf

Picture Frame Faux Succulent Planter from A Butterfly House: Thick wooden frames, with the glasses pressed on each side, are a fun way to "plant" some faux succulents that you can enjoy for years to come.

This wooden box frame planter will look amazing on a bookshelf or hanging on the wall in just about any room. Make one for a friend, too!

mason jar painted yellow iwht succulents growing out of it

Pineapple Succulent Planter from Sustain My Craft Habit: A rounded mason jar painted yellow and paired with just the right succulent creates a fun pineapple look that screams summer! It's the zebra succulent plant if you're wondering, but aloe vera may work well, too.

a shadowbox full of faux succulent plants hanging on a wall.

Succulent Wall Decor from Making Manzanita:  Use a shadowbox to create a faux vertical succulent garden that looks just like the real thing, with lots of preserved moss and faux succulents.

I love that with a DIY succulent wall planter you can use a variety of lovely succulents in various sizes and cool colors to create something totally one-of-a-kind.

Which of these succulent projects are you going to make?
