    ⭐ Tips

✔️ For this recipe, I really like using smaller asparagus. It is often more tender, too.

✔️ If you have the time, pop the tray of pizza pockets into the fridge for 15-20 minutes. Cold puff pastry will bake up flakier!

✔️ Use the salt sparingly as the prosciutto and gruyere are both salty.

    🍲 Storage

To Store: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. (These are my favorite airtight containers.)

To Reheat: This appetizer is best when it's first made, but you can reheat them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Honestly, my husband likes these so much that he will these leftover bundles cold!

I do not recommend freezing these puff pastry bundles.

    ✏️ Make Ahead

These puff pastry bundles can be assembled a day ahead of time. Simply cover your baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate. When you're ready to bake, remove them from the fridge, brush them with the egg wash, and bake following the instructions in the recipe card below.

    📖 Variations

The first time you try any new recipe we recommend that you make it just as it is written on the recipe card since that is how the recipe has been tested. However, the next time you make our recipe, you might want to try one of these ideas:

    • Instead of kosher salt, consider adding a bit of basil salt to the top of the bundles. Our Italian seasoning is also a delicious addition.
    • Prosciutto can be pricy, but deli ham is an economical swap. If you want to be super fancy, try it with smoked salmon!
    • If you can't find gruyere, or don't care for it, substitute shredded parmesan cheese.

    🍴 Serving Suggestions

Whether you serve these asparagus bundles as a side dish to your roasted turkey, holiday ham, or petite sirloin roast, everyone is going to love them!

They make a wonderful addition to any potluck or buffet and are a great appetizer. Guests will love nibbling on them along with antipasto kabobs and our elegant fruit and cheese platter or butter board.

This appetizer looks fantastic. I use puff pastry a LOT, but haven't tried Jus-Rol. I'm going to go to their website and see if it's sold here. It sounds really easy to use!
