I'm all about Asian flavors in all kinds of meals. These Asian Pork Kabobs have a mouthwatering combination of garlic, soy sauce, and fresh ginger seasoning the meat and vegetables.

I love this combination of pineapple, red onion, sweet orange bell peppers, and grape tomatoes with the pork tenderloin. The hoisin sauce adds a great depth of flavor, too. Of course, you could swap out the pork for chicken breasts if you have that on hand instead.

This is such an impressive-looking dish to serve at a backyard cookout with friends and family. It looks like it took you forever, but really this recipe is so simple. And oh so delicious!

    Ingredients

For the most delicious pork kabobs, find the freshest pork and veggies you can. Check out farmer's markets or other local shops. Here is what you'll need.

    • 1 lb pork tenderloin
    • Orange bell peppers (yellow and green work as well)
    • Red Onion
    • Pineapple
    • Soy Sauce
    • Hoisin Sauce
    • Chili Paste
    • Garlic
    • Fresh Ginger

The colors of these pork kabobs photograph impressive and the flavors are even more amazing.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Do You Cook Kabobs on the Grill?

Most Kabobs will need about 2-3 minutes per side to cook.  Allow for about 10-15 minutes to cook kabobs on the grill from start to finish. Make sure that all sides of the kabobs touch the grill during the cooking process.  This gives the meat, pineapples, and vegetables a chance to caramelize and develop a crisp texture and amazing flavor.
Chicken Kabobs might take a minute or two longer for safety - it will depend on the heat of your grill and how thick your pieces of chicken are. A great recipe to start with is my primer on How to Grill Chicken Kabobs.

How Long Would You Cook Pork Skewers in the Oven?

Preheat the oven to 350F and place the skewers on a rimmed baking sheet.  Cook them for 10-15 minutes until the meat is cooked through.

What Other Veggies Taste Good on Kabobs?

Feel free to explore the produce section and experiment with other vegetables. Bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions are honestly the best ones to grill. Other veggies that grill well include zucchini, mushrooms, and yellow squash.
